Visiting New Delhi

I leave for New Delhi, India this evening and will be away for a week visiting Taj Mahal and Jaiphur.

My aunt will be accompanying me and we will be joined by my brother and his family in New Delhi. This is my first trip to that part of India, and it will be interesting to discover more of India. We will be staying with my cousin and her family in Delhi. They will be moving back to America soon, the reason to visit them and Delhi before they leave.

I cannot believe this, from my Medan trip last year, I have become a traversing places every month. This is really a great a excitement to a boring life like mine..ha..ha!

I came across this movie called "dashpoem" on life from another blogger Selvi which is a good reminder and a touching story.

So let’s enjoy life to the fullest whenever we can and believe we can.

My biopsy result

I got my biopsy result this Wednesday and what good news…I am fine! Thank you God!
Although I did not have plans that day, my close friend insisted we celebrate the occasion after work and so we did. Our celebration was retail therapy. We went and brought ourselves some new clothes at Mid Valley Mega Mall. I was glad I did some thing special that day.

Oh! I am so relieved as I now I can get on with my life. And make plans for the near future.

I also met the same elderly man who had a biopsy done before me. His wife came out beaming with a big smile, as her husband was fine too. He was the first patient of the day and what a good beginning it was for all of us.

The power of prayers is so important what more when you have so many people praying for you. I have joined a prayer/support forum about 2 years ago and members of the forum prayed for me too. Then I had some close friends who prayed too.

I was really touched by their gesture and felt it was because of their strong request to God that the result turned out to be good. I don’t think I really prayed so earnestly like them….ha!..ha!

Looks like I am not keeping up with my resolution to post often but then resolutions are not meant to be followed down the line..ha..ha!

3rd Year Cancer Survivor

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and that will be my 3rd year as a survivor. Hip Hip Hurray!

Many things have been happening so quickly lately that I just not have time to digest things including having fun...ha...ha!

I am now waiting for my biopsy report which will come out next Wednesday. As I said earlier, a needle biopsy was done on my right breast as they spotted some ducts. Frankly, I have really sick and tired about worry about things.

When I went to have the biopsy done, I met a 80 year old man doing a second biopsy on his breast for confirmation on the existence of lumps in his breast. His 75 year old wife told me that her husband comes from a family with cancer history and she was told that every 1 in 100 men would get breast cancer. I am so used to seeing all ladies waiting for their appointments at the breast clinic and this time around it was a first time for me to have a man among us.

I had pain on my right breast for two days because of the needle biopsy. Well I pray that I am okay and in pink of health.

In the midst of all this, I was in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah over the Chinese New Year holidays. As my new sister-in-law hails from Kota Kinabalu and so her parents hosted a dinner reception on the occasion of the marriage for the newly wedded. My parents and I flew on AirAsia on Friday to Kota Kinabalu and returned on Sunday. By the time we got home, it was almost 12.30 midnight and I had to go to work the next day. We stayed at Marina Court Resort Condominium in the centre of town which was really good and convenient.

The reception was held Shangri-la’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa a beautiful hotel and near the sea. It was celebration among family and close friends. Finally they all got to see my brother..ha..ha! Since we did not have much time, our sight seeing was limited to the town but the sea could be seen everywhere.

After all this the newly wedded can finally settle down and move with the married lives!

Yesterday I received an email from my friend forwarding me the youtube version of the condensed version of the “Last Lecture” by Dr Randy Pausch on Oprah. He has pancreatic cancer and has been just give a few months to live. It is inspiring to watch the video and touch on a wonderful message on how to live life and living your dreams. He choose to live an energetic live in these few months and that is overwhelmingly motivating.
